A Gift from Mother Earth

June 18th - 20th

Gift from Mother Earth Celebration Every year, mid-June, Crazy Horse Memorial celebrates the melding of Native American culture and art of the new west. The result is the three-day "A Gift from Mother Earth Celebration" and the Crazy Horse Stampede rodeo. Much of the visitor complex is filled with exhibits of custom-made clothing, jewelery and other items for sale. There is also an art show and contest with several categories. On the viewing veranda, the Native American Fashion show unveils wearable art. The rodeo is something of a rarity as well, one of the few with both Great Plains Indian Rodeo and Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association competition.
